Bra-zen

I had a white t shirt bra that I’d ruined by washing it too hot and shrinking the fabric over the cup. So I thought I’d try and bring it back to life with a little makeover. I rallied together various bits of ribbon and lace that had been getting bored and played around until I had a plan.

First, I cut away the fabric from the cup to release it back to its normal shape.

Then I faced the cups with new white jersey, adding some pleats under the cup to accommodate the extra fabric.

I stitched the fabric to the inside of the cup and added some top stitching around the underwire to anchor the fabric in place.

Don’t tell anyone, but this lace was from a pair of knickers. We’re all about the R&R. I stitched it on, appliqué fashion.

Just add a little ribbon bow and a flower bead and voila! New bra!
